We are excited to inform you that, this year, during the second edition of the GB Group Global Leadership Awards we will focus on women leaders in Africa. We will be honoring women that currently influence government policy through political participation, economic development through entrepreneurialism and strategic business development through corporate leadership. Countries represented are Angola, Equatorial Guinea, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Senegal and Tanzania. Past award recipients include H.E. Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, Chairperson of the African Union, and H.E. President Blaise Compaoré, former President of Burkina Faso.
GB Group Global Leadership Awards Dinner is an initiative aimed to bring more attention to the people that invigorate ‘Africa on the Rise’. We are thoroughly dedicated to the promotion and collaboration of Africa with the African-American & African Diasporas. We feel that not enough can be done to create platforms where African leadership and successes can be appreciated. We recognize that the future of Africa is dependent on the wisdom of seasoned leaders as well as further empowerment of women and youth. We use the awards dinner and the media as a catalyst to showcase, honor and celebrate those that are part of the unique future tapestry of Africa.
